چکیده
On the background of a subway project in Suzhou City Jiangsu Province and targeting engineering difficulty disc cutters cutting reinforced concrete walls, this paper illustrates adaptability diaphragm wall cut by cutter through conducting related laboratory tests numerical simulations. When wall, should use low-penetration depth excavation pattern with penetration kept within 10 mm/r. In order to keep torque small floating range, cutterhead driving speed thrust be strictly controlled during period. Three types fracture surface after operation, namely, single-side rolling destroy, double-sided brittle destroy. The percentage length steel bar smaller than 60 cm can reach 44.2% when parameters are well regulated. simulation results show that deeper penetration, more unstable load. relationship between normal force was linear, trend simulated value comparable experimental one, which ensures rationality pattern. spacing had little impact on it wider 80 mm.

Hysteretic Behavior of Conventionally Reinforced Concrete Coupling Beams in Reinforced Concrete Coupled Shear Wall
This paper presents the experimental results of four full-scale coupling beams in which only horizontal reinforcements are placed, without diagonal reinforcements, with the aim to develop reinforcement details for coupling beams used in connecting side walls in a wall-slab structural system. Each coupling beam specimen was designed according to the deep-beam design procedure that does not use d...
متن کاملSeismic Performance of Steel Plate-Reinforced Concrete Composite Shear Wall
In tall buildings the reinforced concrete (RC) shear wall is one of the predominant structural components used to resist lateral loads induced by earthquakes around the world. Previous research demonstrated that shear walls displayed a sudden loss in lateral capacity due to the wall corner and web crushing in the plastic zone. In addition, it was found that large shear distortions in shear wall...
متن کاملFuture Directions for Reinforced Concrete Wall Buildings in Eurocode 8
The current Eurocode 8 belongs to one of the most advanced international seismic design codes. This leading edge should be maintained in future revisions of the code while the code should become as user friendly as possible. This article makes several proposals in which way the reinforced concrete wall sections in future versions of the Eurocode can be extended in its scope but simplified in it...
متن کاملModelling Issues for Tall Reinforced Concrete Core Wall Buildings
Reinforced concrete walls are commonly used as the primary lateral force-resisting system for tall buildings. As the tools for conducting nonlinear response history analysis have improved and with the advent of performancebased seismic design, reinforced concrete walls and core walls are often employed as the only lateral forceresisting system. Proper modelling of the load versus deformation be...
متن کاملReinforced Concrete Wall Response under Uni- and Bi- Directional Loading
During an earthquake, structures are subjected to both horizontal and vertical shaking. Most structures are rather insensitive to variations in the vertical acceleration history and primary considerations are given to the impact of the horizontal shaking on the behavior of structures. In the laboratory, however, most component tests are carried out under uni-directional horizontal loading to si...
